Updates

I felt compelled to put some kind of update on here, even though there isn't much to report. My knee is doing much better, though it's really just an illusion. I still can't do any fin stuff like run or jump or really anything but walk. But, I am walking well, so that's something, I guess.

Not much news on the job front. Still waiting to hear back from Williamsburg. Also got a call from a church in Key Biscayne, Florida which is "a small island off the coast of Miami." Yikes, talk about your nice places to live! Not sure if I'd do well with the culture - seems like lots of rich people, also very ethnically diverse. I think they could probably find someone better suited to that than me.

In entertainment news, I gotta say that ABC's Lost has just about taken over as my favorite show of the week - beating out Alias, The West Wing, House, and even by beloved 24. Last week's episode could have easily been a season finale and would have left me drooling for the conclusion next fall. 24 looks promising for this week, however, so things could change again.

I've got less than two weeks until our next big youth retreat at Rockbridge. Can't remember how much I've already written about this, but basically it's a joint retreat put on by a bunch of PCA churches in Virginia, and it's called MODGNIK. (Read it backwards) This year, I volunteered our worship team to lead worship for the weekend. It'll easily be the biggest number of people I've ever played in front of (around 500) so I'm pretty excited. The kids on the team are too, although we're all also a little nervous. But, we've scheduled some extra practices, and we sounded good last night at Breakthrough, so I think we'll be ready. The kids on the team are some of my favorites in our group, so it's really fun to play with them.

Well, that's it for now. Keep it real, and really keep it.

Okay, I admit I just made that up and have no idea what the heck it means.
